The New Monolith: A Visionary Series for WhiteHot Magazine
The following proposal outlines a new collaborative series for WhiteHot Magazine of Contemporary Art titled "The New Monolith." This initiative invites artist collectives and studios to engage with the intersection of physical presence and digital imagination.
The Vision
"The New Monolith" serves as a conceptual playground where technology and high-concept curation meet. The series is designed to explore how modern creators can leverage generative tools to manifest large-scale installations that might otherwise be limited by physical or financial constraints. By utilizing AI to assist in both the literary description and visual rendering of these spaces, the project captures the "latent potential" of contemporary art.
The Format: Architectural Dreams
The proposal invites five selected artists from a single cohort to "dream up" their specific installation within the framework of The New Monolith. Following a streamlined, tech-forward format, each contribution consists of:
Two Descriptive Paragraphs: Speculative prose generated through AI to articulate the sensory and conceptual depth of the work.
Two Visual Iterations: High-fidelity AI-generated images that provide a window into the proposed installation.
