Corrina, a Denver-based artist and curator, demonstrates a compelling integration of art and technology in her multifaceted creative practice. Holding a BFA in Sculpture from Metropolitan State University and an MFA in Integrated Art from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she skillfully merges scientific inquiry with artistic exploration, employing new media technologies to push the boundaries of contemporary expression. Her work frequently incorporates custom circuitry, resulting in vibrant, interactive, and kinetic light-based installations that engage viewers through dynamic sensory experiences.
Her artistic interests span a broad spectrum, including robotics, glitch art, video, and conceptual frameworks. More recently, Corrina has ventured into virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), as well as the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI), positioning her at the forefront of emerging media practices. This forward-looking approach is balanced by a deep engagement with literary arts, from which she draws narrative inspiration. Her visual storytelling oscillates between dark humor and whimsical levity, effectively capturing the paradoxes and absurdities inherent in human existence.
